First of all, a HUGE THANK YOU to the Men's teams who were originally registered but we had to drop since our facility wasn't ready. All of those teams who are interested were guaranteed a spot in the April 8th tournament. We sincerely appreciate your understanding.

For the women's teams - you came to PLAY! So much fun to watch. We had some new faces - always a pleasure to welcome them in. And some teams returning from previous tournaments.  Pool play in the morning went well - with the #1 seeds out of both pools the reigning champs of the February tournament Helen Parker and the winner of the January tournament Lei in the top spots. 

We were lucky to have a food cart for on site for lunch. Big thanks to John Angelis of Smokin Johns Barbeque! As always, we appreciate the women's teams for their ability to keep things moving and not letting the day get away. 

Bracket play saw Helen Parker and Lei battling in the semi's, sending Helen Parker to the losers bracket where they won their one match to 25, meeting Lei again in the finals. But alas, Lei's team pulled out the big W for the day - winning a guaranteed spot in the April 8th tournament and a $50 discount off their entry fee. Congrats to 2nd place team Helen Parker who also won a guaranteed spot and a $25 discount off their entry for April 8th.

On top of all the amazing play, we would be remiss if we didn't mention Cascade Aids Project - our non-profit connection! Here's what they had to say about the event:

Hi my name is Gregory McKillop, I am the Volunteer Resources Coordinator at Cascade AIDS Project! We are a local non profit organization that provides health and housing services to folks living with HIV and AIDS. I had a wonderful time being invited to the volleyball tournament this past weekend, and witnessed so much amazing teamwork and leadership among the players. Several teams signed up to Volunteer for our upcoming Art Auction fundraiser, which is our biggest event of the year. We still have spots to fill in the Volunteer roster, so if you would like to get involved head to www.capartauction.org and check it out!

• The tournament entry fee is $180 - includes membership.
• To reserve a spot, post in the Facebook event or email admin@bridgevolleyballcrew.org.
• CEVA officials will be provided. An R1 will not be on every pool play match but will be in the championship bracket.
• Uniforms are not required, however, each team should wear the same color shirt with an opposing color shirt for liberos
• Bring your own balls. Teams must agree on game ball prior to start of match.
• Rosters are due by Feb 27th (emailed or posted in Facebook event) - no roster or response means you drop your spot.

• Winners bracket best 2 of 3 with R1 official
• Losers bracket 1 to 25, no cap, losing team R1

Schedule:

• 7:45a - Doors open
• 8:00a - Captains meeting
• 8:15a - First serve
• 4:30pm - last match (unless double final is needed)
